With 15 tracks ranging from banging EBM to Weird Electronica and delicate acid trance, this compilation was originally released in 2007, and has been in high demand since then.
It is now available, entirely remastered by Sonic wizard André Dalcan, for a new generation to enjoy, and who knows, to inspire new artists to create their own iteration!
A postcard from the years 00', and a sonic picture of the emerging Internet techno community of that time, this compilation showed the many colors and sensibilities of French Techno artists from all over the country, materialized their common passion for electronic music, and their joyful involvement in the French Forum of the same name.
The idea was born on the French forum on Discogs named "En Français S’Il Vous Plait" (i.e. "Speak French, Please"), which opened in 2005, and was soon to become the HQ of the french-speaking community on Discogs.com
After N9's head Guillaume joined the group and released a few exclusive gift-tracks that were to become the first French Theory EPs there (and on the infamous Oldskool Lovers forum), he discovered how many members of E.F.S.V.P. were actually creating their own music. So he proposed to produce a cooperative compilation of their best tracks.
With the decisive help of Jean-Philippe Laisné, and the support of the most active and creative members (Jean Bruce, Buchla, and many more), the most interesting tracks were selected by a vote, an iconic sleeve design was created, and the idea became a reality : it was released in September 2007 by N9, as digital download, CDr album (with extended version of the tracks) and as an even more sough-after 2xLP.
After 13 years, it is at last available again, entirely remastered, and at a symbolic price, for as many as possible people can enjoy this piece of passion, and the first productions of then-blossoming talents that since got their way to the music community, like Jean Bruce & Benjamin le Dauphin with their respected label Nocturbulous.fr
, or Psychosomatik, to name a few!
